This 1100 sq ft apartment’s interior design work showcases a unique and harmonious fusion of wabi-sabi and classic styles. This project was completed in 4 months and prioritizes tranquility, keeping in mind the specific client request to incorporate the concept of “rain” in the design.
In one of the bedrooms (3.3 x 3 m), the wabi-sabi concept takes center stage, with calming neutral tones and textured walls creating a serene environment. Class master bedroom with a touch of bold blue, making it contemporary yet luxurious. A contrasting textured wall complements the bay window, which provides a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the panoramic view from the apartment. A bookshelf nestled beside the window adds a touch of functionality and sophistication.
The kitchen is open yet conveniently covered, offering a glimpse into the dining space. This fosters a sense of connection while maintaining a sense of separation. The color scheme utilizes various hues while maintaining the overall design harmony. The elements that complete the project are the textured walls, fluted glass sliding doors, 6×4 Italian hybrid joint free tile and aesthetically pleasing wall paneling incorporated in the living area. With a special focus on functionality, both bed cots are designed with storage space beneath.
This project stands as a testament to the successful union of classic elegance and the understated beauty of wabi-sabi. It offers residents a tranquil sanctuary, all within a thoughtfully designed and visually striking residential complex.
